All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga!

Supremely auspicious object of my affection, Ma Devamayi--

This morning I became happy, receiving the news of your well-being on the telephone. Here yesterday Sriman Bodhayan Maharaj himself has completed Sri Krishna Panchak, Sri Gaur Panchak, Sri Vyasa Panchak, Sri Vaiyasaki Panchak, Sri Sanakadi Panchak--performed all these pujas according to scripture to celebrate Sri Guru Purnima. When the puja was completed, with the help of Bodhayan Maharaj and other devotees, I was put in a chair and taken to the temple, and I had darsan of Their Lordships and performed puja. I heard that at your place (America), Sri Guru Purnima is today. On this Purnima, begin Chaturmasya-vrata. I am praying at Sri-Guru-Pada-Padma that their abundant affectionate blessings be showered upon you. My present physical state is not so well. I want to tell you a few things briefly. I do not consider myself as a guru. I have offered all of you at the lotus feet of my guru, and I am still doing that. I consider myself the servant of the servant of Srila Prabhupad. You all give me the respect that is due to the guru. In any case, all these things you are writing about my life should not become a laughingstock to people because it is an overglorification. I really consider myself inferior in knowledge, intelligence, and everything else. Yet I am forced to take from everybody the respect that is due to the President [of Gopinath Gaudiya Math]. Please be careful that there is no overglorification of myself in my biography that you are writing. I am conveying my prayer for your eternal well-being to the lotus feet of Sri-Sri-Svaparikar Jagannath-Dev-Guru-Gauranga-Gandharvika-Giridhari-Gopinath. May Their Lordships be pleased with you and fulfill all your desires.

Begging for the mercy and blessings of Prabhupad, who is worshipable by all,
Vaishnav dasanudas,
Sri Bhakti Pramod Puri
